Loris Maria Cangemi received his Ph.D. in Physics (2017-2020) from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy working with Prof. Vittorio Cataudella and Prof. Giulio De Filippis. His Ph.D. thesis work focused on the effects of dissipation on dynamics and topological features of quantum systems, employing theoretical approaches beyond conventional weak-coupling theories. Before joining the Levy group, he completed a one-year postdoc in Naples (2020-2021), working on nonequilibrium dynamics of open quantum systems and quantum thermodynamics.
Interests: Open quantum systems, quantum thermodynamics, quantum many-body systems.
