Biography

Chitrak received his PhD in Physics (2013-2019) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata under Prof. Dhruba Banerjee. His thesis work involved theoretical analysis of open systems in classical and quantum context in the presence of nonlinear external environments. Special emphasis was laid on the strong coupling limit of system-bath interactions. His first postdoc (2019-2021) was in the group of Prof. David Reichman at Columbia University where he worked on the Mode Coupling Dynamics in glass transition.

Interests: Open Quantum Systems, Quantum Thermodynamics, Nonequilibrium physics (classical and quantum).
